We make healthy and sustainable food more accessible
This strategic line aims to promote access to healthy, sustainable, local, fair, attractive and affordable food for citizens.
The aim is to ensure people’s access to food and to reduce the presence of foods, products and services that promote diets that are harmful to health and the planet.
Other objectives of this strategic line are to promote eco-social entrepreneurship and innovation in shops, local restaurants and catering services, reduce waste, make seasonal and local consumption easier and guarantee the right to healthy and sustainable food.
INNOVATION PROGRAMME
Shops, restaurants and catering
The main aim of this programme is to design and implement an improvement plan for local shops, restaurants and catering organisations. Participating organisations will be positioned as responsible health and environment establishments and enjoy greater visibility in their district. The programme is also open to collaboration with people who want to carry out advisory work and/or research using the protocols we are continuously improving.
What are your expectations for the future of your business? Would you like to explore opportunities for improvement in promoting healthy and sustainable food in your local neighbourhood?
Through a diagnosis of supply and demand and problems and opportunities in your business, we will help you create an action plan to better respond to your customers’ needs and improve the accessibility and availability of healthy and sustainable food.
This advisory service provides restaurants and catering organisations with a report on their health and sustainability status and a list of recommendations contained in an action plan.
This will enable them to respond better to their customers’ needs, increase the competitiveness of their business and improve their food offer in terms of a healthier and more sustainable model.
Do you own a restaurant or shop and would like to receive advice?

INNOVATION PROGRAMME
Rural-urban linkages
The programme aims to make seasonal and local food more accessible to citizens. The first stage involves a study of the communication process and information that reaches citizens, as well as access to these foods and people’s perception and knowledge of them.
The second stage involves working on an action plan to encourage people and organisations to participate in improving access to seasonal and local food.
